What is Restylane?? Restylane is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin. It corrects facial wrinkles and folds, such as the nasolabial folds. It is the only cosmetic filler made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance that already exists in the human body. It is now FDA approved for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. It is also often used to enhance the appearance of fullness in the lips.

How does Restylane work?? The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is a crystal-clear gel called NASHA™ or Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. Once it is injected, it fills the areas beneath any wrinkles and folds. Restylane maintains its shape using the body's own moisture.

What are the most common side effects of Restylane?? The most common side effects of Restylane include temporary redness, swelling and bruising at the injection site. These effects typically resolve within two to three days. A cold pack is recommended to reduce the likelihood of these effects.

How long will Restylane last?? The effects of Restylane should appear almost instantly. After that, the average results of Restylane last approximately six months. Evidence shows that having a touch-up treatment before the product has fully dissipated will enhance the lasting effect. If you discontinue treatment, the folds and wrinkles will gradually reappear.
